Iphone OUT...Nokia 5800 IN!!

Sunday, October 5, 2008

Yep, it's true guys! The Nokia 5800 Express Music phone had been unveiled last October 2, 2008 and it got everything we ever hoped for and even more!

The new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is especially designed for the music-lovers all over the world. Yep, all over the world. It has innovative new designs to give you the best music experience from a mobile phone that is ever possible. It supports Nokia's Comes With Music, a service that gives you access to the Nokia Music Store. They provide a 1 year unlimited access to their catalogue by purchasing this great phone.

So, what do people want for their music mobile phone? We all want clear and powerful speakers, more memory and of course, easy synchronization. Aside from these, it's no mobile phone if it can't perform well as a mobile phone, right? The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic does not just focus on the "music" factor but it has a great internet browsing, 3.2 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss Lens, clear phone speaker, Bluetooth and so much more! Plus, it is the first Nokia phone with touch screen to add that human touch.

Also, there is the Media Bar and the Contacts Bar. The Media Bar is a drop down menu that gives you a direct access to your music, videos and photos. With the Media Bar, you can directly link to a website or for online sharing. Contacts Bar, on the other hand, is like a feed for your own life. You could highlight up to four of your favorite contacts and track a digital history of previous text messages or emails and photos, and more from these contacts.

With the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, you get up to 8 Gb of memory, built-in surround stereo speakers and it supports up to 60 languages so people around the world could use this phone. No news as to how much this awesome new mobile phone actually costs.

Make a Label Cloud in Blogger

Sunday, September 14, 2008

I just want to share this technique because I don't like the conventional label widget that Blogger offers. So if you want to make your label into a cloud, this is the trick:

After Adding the Label Widget Goto Layout>Edit Html (Do not expand the widget templates for the sake of easy explanation)

Look for code similar to this:

<b:widget id="Label1" locked="false" title="Labels" type="Label"></b:widget>

Now Replace that with:
<b:widget id='Label1' locked='false' title='Label Cloud' type='Label'>
<b:includable id='main'>
<b:if cond='data:title'>

<data:title/>

</b:if>

<b:loop values='data:labels' var='label'>

<b:if cond='data:blog.url == data:label.url'>
<data:label.name/>
<b:else/>
<data:label.name/>
</b:if>
(<data:label.count/>)

</b:loop>

Powered By:Blogger Widgets
<b:include name='quickedit'/>

</b:includable>
</b:widget>

Now find:
</b:skin>

Replace it also with:
#labelCloud {text-align:center;font-family:arial,sans-serif;}
#labelCloud .label-cloud li{display:inline;background-image:none !important;padding:0 5px;margin:0;vertical-align:baseline !important;border:0 !important;}
#labelCloud ul{list-style-type:none;margin:0 auto;padding:0;}
#labelCloud a img{border:0;display:inline;margin:0 0 0 3px;padding:0}
#labelCloud a{text-decoration:none}
#labelCloud a:hover{text-decoration:underline}
#labelCloud li a{}
#labelCloud .label-cloud {}
#labelCloud .label-count {padding-left:0.2em;font-size:9px;color:#000}
#labelCloud .label-cloud li:before{content:"" !important}
</b:skin>

Then save it!!

Longest pastillas in the world!

Friday, September 12, 2008

Imagine a 202.6 meter pastillas with a diameter of 5 inches. (Whoa!! Eating this alone will kill you instantly from diabetes..)

The province of Bulacan made that pastillas in celebration of the SINGKABAN festival. I don't have any pictures of the giant pastillas because it was covered when I arrived at the venue. But the time when the cover was removed, I didn't got the chance to take pictures because the pastillas were already gone! Yeah, that fast! People grabbed what they could grab. But thanks for my two classmates, they got 2 kilos of the pastillas. (hehehe..they're good at grabbing). In fairness to the pastillas maker, it tastes good.

After the pastillas, many lechon and roast chicken were given away. We didn't joined this event because we know, we won't stand a chance in having those delicious lechon.

8pm that day, the street party began. The San Miguel Oktober fest started with free drinks. Many famous bands rocked the night. Sadly, I didn't went to the party because of previous commitment.

For me, this is the most festive Singkaban festival that I attended. My mom said that our governor was only trying to make an impression. Oh! I forgot to say that Bong Revilla and Bayani Fernando were also there.

Transformer 2 (2009)

Friday, August 29, 2008

The new Transformer sequel will be in theaters in 2009. So far, here are some details in the upcoming movie:

Michael Bay revealed a couple new details in an interview with the New Jersey Times. The story picks up with Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) visiting Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) at a fictional East Coast school with an Ivy League feel. Apparently Banes didn’t have enough money to go to college and was left behind in Los Angeles. And while the first movie was about a boy and his first car, Bay says that the new movie “is all about Sam growing up and going to college … a teenager growing into a man.”

Josh Duhamel who played Captain Lennox in the original film tells Empire Magazine that the biggest change in the sequel is “who [Lennox is] working with “, emphasizing the “Who he’s working with.” This seems to confirm speculation that the Autobots might have to form an alliance with the Decepticons to fight something bigger.

Drivable replica of Luke Skywalker's X-34 Landspeeder

Yes, that's a real landspeeder, just like Luke Skywalker's X-34 in Star Wars. No computer-generated Hollywood movie magic here. Well, except that it doesn't exactly hover. The fiberglass body is mounted on a custom aluminum electric car chassis. With a top speed of only about 25 MPH, it's going to take awhile to get across the Tatooine desert, seeing as the three thrusters are non-functional.

Builder Daniel Deutsch, a Lucasfilm employee, has also made a custom R2-D2 complete with a built-in video projector. Fans of his work apparently include Joey Fatone.
